Rosie Update

A couple weeks ago we had check up for Kobe and Rosie at MedVet. I have previously posted that Kobe’s visit went very well. His labs were good so he will continue with same chemo meds and go for recheck on May 31. He gained a couple of pounds which is good. He’s eating well and seems to feel good.

Rosie did not have a rosy report. The echocardiogram showed very bad heart damage. Her valves are horrible and heart is enlarged. The cardiologist said it will only progress so her time is limited. She remains on all the cardiac meds plus the trilostane for her Cushing’s.

Because of her condition she is too high a risk for anesthesia and her teeth are really bad. So my vet is starting her on an antibiotic and mouth care program.

Rosie also saw the vet yesterday for a tumor on her foot. It was scraped and aspirated for pathology. Her foot is all bandaged and she has a cute little boot on that she is not bothering at all. She is such a sweet girl and very pretty. Her coat is beautiful.
