Mardi

Mardi was rescued from a high kill shelter and had multiple problems. He is elder, blind, had problems walking, had sparse hair, bad teeth and infection in ears. He had several infected teeth removed and intensive treatment for ear and skin infections. An x-ray revealed lumbar disc collapse and fusion from L4-L7 and first sacral vertebrae. He is severely cognitive impaired and we soon discovered he is deaf. He was evaluated for cataract surgery and found to be a candidate. The surgery has not improved his condition. He is still very timid and seems scared of his own shadow. Heaven only knows what this baby has endured! But he will be loved and safe with us till the end.
