Desi has a congenital cerebral problem. When she came to us she could hardly walk, lost her balance and had no idea how to protect her head. She was taken for evaluation and started on rehab right away. We fastened a helmet for her and let her go. It was such a pleasure to watch her progress and play with the other babies. She amazed and inspired me. She’d fall, rest a minute, then get up and proceed with her life.
She was adopted to a perfect family who totally loved her just as she was. She even had a fur sibling. She was so loved, spoiled and enjoyed her life. Then her family had to move out of the country. We all felt that the move and all it involved would not be good for her. Well, her foster family took her in and wanted to keep her. She had def had an enchanted life after her tragic start.
Update 2017: Desi had to have ACL surgery and came through with flying colors. She is one loved little girl and continues her beautiful journey.
