Hi, I am Helen. I am a tiny little lady who was rescued by a nice lady who couldn’t keep me. Everyone thought I would be a sanctuary baby because I had a problem. Something made me very uncomfortable and itchy. I would bite and lick my feet to the point of bleeding. I ended up wearing this funny hat all the time to keep me from harming myself. Something also caused me to have chronic ear infections. Those infections caused my ears to reshape. My foster mom says they are “cauliflower” but just add to my unique charm and look.
My rescue Mom had some test done and found out what causes my problems. It’s ragweed and fungus!!!!! That is good in a way because it means I am not allergic to any kinds of food (and boy! do I love food!!). But it’s also bad because ragweed and fungus are every where. However, if I take an antihistamine everyday I do very well. And a bath once a week helps even more. Now that we know why I have problem and how to take care of it I can play outside and have fun and totally enjoy life. Would my little problem keep you from wanting me? I really want my own family…I don’t want to be a sanctuary baby. I have many years to show you my love and devotion. Please inquire about me.
Update: Helen is doing very well on her allergy medication and is still looking for a forever home.
2018: Helen has found her furever!!!!!! It was hard to let her go but when angels come along who want to love and spoil a baby as a family member…well, that’s the time to lose a part of your rescue heart and let her go!
