I am the latest resident of the sanctuary. Even though I am 14 years old, only 2 pounds and am blind, I was turned into a kill shelter. But that turned out to be a good thing. I was very ill with lots of bad conditions and was getting septic. My new Mom helped get me well and I pay her back by wanting to be in her arms all the time!
Update: The infection in Frenchy’s eyes was very resistant. The decision was made to enucleate both eyes. She is doing very well now and is on no medication! She is carried all the time when not at rest in her crate. She is too tiny and fragile to be with the other residents. She sleeps on my pillow every night and never makes a move! She’s a real sweetheart.
Update, 2018: Frenchy is amazing! She’s a real little fighter. She’s the hardest one to groom (she boxes with you) and to give meds. She has recurrent bouts of upper respiratory infections but is otherwise very healthy.
