12 years old, 18 lbs, Boston Terrier
Bonnie was taken into the sanctuary from a rescue. She had severe neck wounds and very infected eyes and ears. One of her eyes had to be removed. She is now doing well and is available for adoption.
Update: in early 2021, Bonnie suddenly went blind and had to have her second eye removed due to the pain it was causing her. Unfortunately, this only exacerbated her anxiety, and she wasn’t able to cope. She ran around constantly, snipped at the other dogs, and needed to be sedated and crated every day. Deciding that her quality of life wasn’t good, Bonnie was let go on April 2nd. She was held and comforted the whole time, and now joins the rest of the sanctuary angels in a better place. You’ll furever be in our hearts!
